Meet Raquel
Hola!! My name is Raquel Scott, MS, CCC-SLP. I am an ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) based out of Southern California. I am a proud Matador and I graduated from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) in 2014 with a Masters of Science degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences. I began my professional career as a fully licensed and credentialed SLP by providing speech therapy services and assessments in schools, but I have also worked as an in-home service provider and in clinics. I am a certified Assistive Technology Specialist through CSUN’s Assistive Technology Applications Certification Program (ATACP), certified in Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Levels 1-4, and PECs trained. I have administered assessments and provided speech therapy services in English and Spanish for children and adults with needs in the areas of expressive and receptive language, articulation, stuttering, aphasia, Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), and pragmatics.
During my time as an SLP, I have learned that I have a love and a passion for early intervention. I truly enjoy helping children of all ages learn about the world around them and acquire all the language that goes with it. With that comes working with parents and families to facilitate the most growth and development possible. As a mother of 2 toddlers, I understand how overwhelming becoming a new mother can be. There is so much information and advice available, making it hard to navigate what really matters. As a co-founder of Inches to Milestones, I am so honored and happy to be a part of a team that will help families feel empowered in helping their children thrive and develop while having fun.
